Seattle Urban Craft Fair

I heard about the Seattle Urban Craft fair from a friend, and was bummed I missed it last year... So it's been on my calendar and I'm checking it out for the first time this year. And it's finally coming up this weekend!

Apparently this is not your grandma's craft fair... But some really awesome local, modern ("etsy type") vendors, I can't wait to pick up some Christmas gifts!

Getting Started

While starting to shop this Holiday season, I decided I wanted to make a real effort this year to "Shop Local". To me this means shopping at local businesses in Seattle that are not national chains, as well as buying products online that are made in the USA.  As I started my shopping I have been finding so many great shops and products, but having a hard time remembering them all so I could find them again.  

There are tons of great online resources for online shopping and finding local shops, this is just my diary for friends and family of my favorite unique finds and deals I come across!

I came across this also and found it so inspiring. What a thought that by simply committing to spend a small percentage of what you would already be shopping for during the holidays, and focusing it locally, that you can truly make an impact locally in our own communities.
